1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website, submitting an enquiry or booking a service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If a written quotation, invoice, order confirmation, warranty document or care guide contains service-specific terms, those terms also apply to that service.

If there is an inconsistency, the applicable service-specific warranty terms prevail for warranty coverage, exclusions, duration, maintenance requirements and warranty claims. The accepted quotation, invoice or written service confirmation prevails for pricing, scope of work, quantities, payment terms and other job-specific commercial details. These Terms & Conditions continue to govern general website use and general service conditions. Nothing in this order of precedence excludes any mandatory consumer right.

2. Website information

Website content is general information about our services. Photographs, demonstrations, descriptions and examples illustrate possible applications but do not replace an assessment or create a guarantee for every surface, material or condition.

We aim to keep information accurate and current, but availability, specifications, service areas and pricing may change.

3. Consultations, quotes and bookings

An enquiry, WhatsApp conversation or demonstration request is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only when Urban Shieldz accepts the work and any quotation, advance, scheduling or confirmation requirements communicated to you have been completed.

Quotes are based on the information, photographs, measurements and access conditions available at the time. If the actual scope or condition differs, we will explain any necessary change before carrying out additional chargeable work.

We may reasonably postpone, reschedule or pause work if site conditions are unsuitable, including unfinished interior or civil work, excessive dust, wet or damp surfaces, unsuitable environmental conditions, restricted access, furniture or surfaces not being ready, interference from other contractors, or a customer-requested postponement. If conditions outside our control make additional visits or work necessary, additional charges may apply only where they are appropriately communicated.

4. Assessment and service suitability

Protection results depend on factors such as surface type, finish, age, previous treatments, existing damage, substrate condition, fabric composition, use and maintenance. We may test, demonstrate, recommend an alternative, limit the scope, or decline work where a service is not suitable.

Urban Shieldz does not manufacture or control the underlying marble, natural stone, wood, veneer, paint, polish, coating, fabric, upholstery, furniture, fixtures or other substrate or material being protected. Deterioration, failure, delamination, discolouration, cracking, instability or another issue originating from the underlying substrate or a pre-existing or third-party treatment is separate from a defect in the Urban Shieldz protection service. This does not exclude responsibility where Urban Shieldz’s own proven workmanship caused the damage or limit any mandatory consumer right.

Samples, demonstrations, photographs and small test applications may not reproduce the final appearance of an entire surface exactly. Reasonable visual variation may result from natural material variation, substrate colour or texture, age, weathering, previous coatings or treatments, gloss level, lighting, or differences in condition across the same surface. Reasonable variation alone does not automatically constitute defective workmanship.

Some installations may require seams, joins or multiple film sections because of surface dimensions, shape or geometry, access conditions, or available material width. Professionally positioned and installed seams or joins are not, by themselves, considered a defect and are not promised to be completely invisible.

Urban Shieldz may photograph surfaces or completed work for consultation, measurement or reference, quality control, installation records, warranty records or claim assessment. Photographs that identify a customer, private property or a personally identifiable interior will not be used publicly for marketing without appropriate permission.

The agreed quotation or service confirmation defines the surfaces, areas and work included.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact, property, surface and access information.
  • Tell us about previous coatings, repairs, damage or treatments that may affect the work.
  • Ensure an authorised adult is available where required and that the team has safe, lawful access to the work area.
  • Secure valuables and provide reasonable utilities or site conditions communicated before installation.
  • Follow the aftercare, curing, cleaning and maintenance instructions provided for the service.

6. Pricing, payment and taxes

Prices, taxes, payment stages and due dates are those stated in the applicable quotation, invoice or written confirmation. Unless expressly included, extra work, repeat visits caused by unavailable access, or changes requested after confirmation may be charged separately with prior notice.

Any cancellation, rescheduling, advance-payment or refund terms stated in your quotation or booking confirmation apply. Nothing in these terms limits a refund or remedy required by applicable consumer law.

7. Product and service warranties

Warranty coverage is product- and service-specific. Its duration, covered work, exclusions, maintenance requirements and claim process are governed by the warranty document, invoice and written care instructions issued for your job.

Unless the applicable service-specific warranty terms expressly state otherwise, the warranty period begins on the date the relevant installation or application is completed. It does not restart or begin later because the My Warranty page is accessed, warranty details are viewed, or the warranty record is subsequently corrected or updated.

The My Warranty page is a convenient record of information held for the matched customer. If it contains an error, contact us for verification and correction. It does not expand or replace the written warranty issued for the service.

Coverage may be affected by misuse, accidental or deliberate damage, unsuitable cleaning products, unauthorised repair or removal, structural or substrate failure, pre-existing defects, or failure to follow stated care instructions, to the extent specified in the applicable warranty terms.

This may also apply where inspection reasonably indicates that peeling, lifting or other damage resulted from external interference rather than a product or installation defect. Examples include picking at film edges, pulling, lifting, repeated touching or handling of vulnerable edges or corners, or deliberate interference.

Where Urban Shieldz accepts a valid workmanship or warranty issue, the appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and extent of the issue and may include correction, repair, partial replacement, or replacement of the affected protected area. A localised issue does not automatically require replacement of an entire installation where a reasonable local remedy is appropriate. This does not exclude any mandatory remedy available under applicable consumer law.

8. Aftercare and issue reporting

Where reasonably possible, you or your authorised representative should inspect the completed work at handover and promptly raise any immediately observable concern. This does not remove any warranty or legal right relating to an issue that was not reasonably apparent at handover.

Follow the care instructions supplied after installation. Report a suspected workmanship or warranty issue promptly, with photographs and reasonable access for inspection. We may need to inspect the site before deciding the appropriate correction or remedy.

Before Urban Shieldz has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect a suspected issue, do not remove, alter, repair, reapply or otherwise materially interfere with the affected protection, or have another contractor work on it, where doing so may prevent us from reasonably determining the cause. Such interference may affect warranty eligibility only where it prevents proper inspection or a reasonable determination of the cause.

9. Intellectual property

The Urban Shieldz name, logos, website design, copy, graphics, photographs and other original website material belong to Urban Shieldz or are used with permission. You may view the site for personal use but may not copy, publish, sell, modify or commercially exploit its material without written permission.

10. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit harmful code, impersonate another person, scrape customer information, or automate attempts to guess Warranty IDs. We may restrict access where necessary to protect customers or the service.

11. Third-party services and links

The website may link to or rely on services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Google or our hosting provider. Their own terms and policies apply to their platforms. Urban Shieldz is not responsible for third-party platforms outside our control.

12. Website availability

We may maintain, update or temporarily suspend parts of the website. We do not promise uninterrupted access, but an unavailable website does not remove rights or obligations already created by an accepted service booking or issued warranty.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Urban Shieldz is responsible only for loss directly caused by our proven breach of an agreed obligation. We are not responsible for indirect loss, pre-existing damage, undisclosed surface conditions, customer misuse, third-party work, or events reasonably outside our control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any mandatory right or remedy available under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable law.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, shared and protected, including information used for the My Warranty feature.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future website use or future bookings. The latest version will appear here with its updated date. Changes do not retrospectively replace the agreed written terms of a confirmed job unless both parties agree or the law requires it.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or other statutory right, courts with jurisdiction in Mumbai, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.
